JOURNAL is an independent photography arts magazine published from Zürich to the world.

It is the work of American artist Jill Corral — part memoir, part how-to guide to our visual zeitgeist. Launched in 2025 and published on the spring and autumn equinoxes, it has reached hundreds of readers around the globe. Inspired by life-long artists who documented their evolutions like Agnès Varda and Daidō Moriyama, Jill begins with the work on these pages — and hopes to inspire all creative souls on their own journeys.

Photography magazine as memoir. It is a series of her best and most meaningful work — including photo essays, written articles, and behind-the-scenes ways of working. Designed and produced by the artist.

FOTOZINEGARTEN celebrates the individual creativity and community joy of DIY photography zines. The garden features the work of international zinemakers — from the personal collection of the curator and the open call for this exhibition. Swiss-made zines are well represented, as well as those from across Europe, the Americas, Asia Pacific, and beyond.
