OPEN CALL FOR PHOTOZINES

EXHIBIT YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY ZINE IN ZÜRICH, SWITZERLAND THIS SPRING

JOURNAL: THE EXHIBITION [28 May- 7 June] will host a fotozinegarten with photography zines from around the world — from curator's own collection and this Open Call. All eligible entries will be exhibited on wall or in a small library as part of the zine garden concept at Photobastei Gallery in Zurich. Swiss-made zines are especially encouraged to enter.

HOW TO ENTER

Mail flat envelopes via standard postal mail only.
Entries must be received by May 20, 2026.

ELIGIBILITY & TERMS

1. Zine must be photographic in nature and format. 

2. Maximum size: A5 (148x210mm/5.83x8.27in), ~24 pages. 

3. One entry per artist.

4. Subject matter must be suitable for a general public audience, at discretion of curator.

5. Entry is free. There are no fees, commissions, or sales by any party at any time. 

6. Zines will not be returned (no exceptions) and will become part of a zine library that may be displayed in future workshops by curator.

7. Social media: All exhibited zines will appear in a short video + Instagram post with creator names. No individual confirmation, photos, or documentation of receipt or display is  available.
